Quality assurance is the final step in the website development process. It consists of rigorous testing of all aspects of a site prior to upload to a public server. This step is vital to ensure client satisfaction and positive customer experience. We test the site against the accessibility parameters set in the early part of the process: browser compatibility, loading times, screen size, platform compatibility. We might test for accessibility on Macs and PCs, PDAs, cell phones, 21" screens, Web TV, Netscape 4.0, AOL, Mozilla, and Microsoft Explorer, among others. And we test all the interactive features to ensure they work, and work easily. We often review the site a few months after launch, which allows us to refine it based on actual usage. Q&A is Step 7. |
